Child Found In Car After 225 Km/h Police Chase

A three-year-old girl was found in a car stopped by police after a 80 kilometer chase that reached speeds of up to 225km/h on Tuesday. The grey Audi A4 occupied by a man 31, and woman 22, failed to stop on the A1 near Catterick and eventually turned into a high speed chase north to Scotch Corner then back south on Tuesday, said North Yorkshire Police.

It weaved in and out of traffic and hit several other vehicles before it was stopped after being boxed in by police cars near Boston Spa, West Yorkshire. They police discovered a large quantity of cannabis after the two people were arrested.

No one was hurt in the incident and police are appealing for witnesses.

The 3 year old girl is being looked after by social services, said police.

The force tweeted the picture of the car having come to a halt.
