Car That Crushed Actor Anton Yelchin Was Recalled

Reports have it that the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee that killed Actor Anton Yelchin on sunday was among the hundreds of thousands of Jeep Grand Cherokees recalled by Manufacturer Fiat Chrysler's US unit in April.

Investigators said the Star Trek Star, 27, had got out of the vehicle before it rolled backwards down the steep driveway towards him. and that he died of accidental blunt force asphyxia.

Fiat Chrysler US said it had not found a permanent remedy and mainly advised owners to double check that their car was in "park" as intended.
