A Woman Rescued After Her Car Is Left Hanging At The Edge Of A Car Park

A woman in Sydney has escaped death by the whiskers after her car had crashed through the guard rail of a car park of a Hospital and was left hanging precariously over the edge for about 20 minutes before firefighters could rescue her.
NSW Police spokeswoman told Sunday Morning Herald that a witness called triple zero at 7.55am on Wednesday to report that the vehicle had crashed through the guard rail in the Westmead hospital's top car park and the driver was still in the vehicle, which was hanging over the edge and had its back wheels off the ground.

Police said the 50 year old woman had been trying to reverse into a parking bay when she crashed through the guard rail. and the rear of the vehicle was believed to have snagged on a fence on the opposite side of the void, preventing the car from falling an estimated three metres, police said
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said the woman did not appear to be injured but was treated for shock at the scene.
