Drunk Driver Kills Two, Injures Nine Others In Ogun State

A Drunk driver in Ogun state has killed two people and injured nine other people after ramming into a commercial car that was parked at the side of road along the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway on Tuesday.
Eyewitness accounts that the commercial Toyota Picnic which was enroute Sango-Ota had developed a faulty tire and the driver stopped at the Onipepeiye village in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area to change it when, a Nissan Serena mini-bus reported to belong to a member of the Ogun State House Of Assembly on high speed rammed into the Stationary commerical car killing the driver and one of the passengers on the spot.
Confirming the accident, the Public Relations Officer of the State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Babatunde Akinbiyi, stated that the driver of the over-speeding Nissan Serena space bus was discovered to have been drunk as at the time of the accident.
The FRSC Sector Commander Adegoke Adetunji, also confirming the incident stated that all the injured victims have been taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, while the two corpses were also deposited at the morgue of the same hospital.
He also stated that the drunk driver of the Nissan Serena space bus had been handed over to the police.
