Hurray!! Mercedes Finally Finds A New Formula One Driver

Well, it's about damn time this international nightmare ended. The Mercedes F1 team, whose newly crowned champion retired, just days after winning his first Formula One title last season, has added Valtteri Bottas of Williams Martini racing team to its line up for the 2017 season.
The vacant Mercedes seat was an unexpected twist, given that champion Nico Rosberg wasn’t exactly expected to retire at 31 years old. When the Mercedes seat became available, everybody kind of wanted it. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and McLaren’s Fernando Alonso looked like either was going to get the seat earlier on, but Mercedes opted to swiping 27 years old Finnish driver from his Williams team. Bottas who called this move a "dream come true" has now signed a one-year deal with an option of more while Nico Rosberg move into an ambassadorial role.
As for Bottas’ now empty seat at Williams F1, Felipe Massa will cut his retirement short to return to the team that he left just a month and a half ago. Massa’s retirement was one of the most emotional points in 2016, with his “final” home race in Brazil ending in a heartbreaking crash. Massa draped a Brazilian flag on his shoulders as he walked from the wrecked car, with fans, other teams and track workers cheering him on as he made his final (0r so he thought) walk down the track as an F1 driver.
Hopefully Bottas and Champion driver Hamilton will get along better than Hamilton and Rosberg did even though all that hat throwing and searing hatred made last season fun and entertaining.
