Say Hello To The Fastest Four Seater Car In The World

Yesterday, one of the makers of the best luxury vehicles money can buy, Bentley, unveiled its new Continental Supersports, a luxurious ride that is now dubbed as the 'fastest four seater car' in the world. Thanks to the reworked two turbos on the 6.0 litre W12 engine from the 2009 Supersports, the new Supersports is able to squeeze out 700 horsepower and 750 lb-ft of torque that will make it attain a top speed of 336 km/h, going from 0 - 100km/h in only 3.4 seconds. In order to handle all that power, Bentley engineers went with a rear-biased All Wheel Drive (AWD) system mated to an eight-speed ZF transmission that features a new torque converter that locks up faster for neck-snapping acceleration

A convertible version is also available, and thanks to the fact that the Bugatti Veyron Gran Sport Vitesse is only a two-seater, the topless Continental Supersports is also the world’s fastest roofless four-seater, achieving such feat with a top speed of 330 km/h and a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 3.7 seconds.

To combine safety and comfort which Bentley is known for, they fitted the new Supersports with massive carbon ceramic brakes, the biggest of their kind and the suspension had to be stiffened. This Bentley claims will still provide a comfortable ride for grand touring albeit with a dialed back stability control system to help the torque vectoring system do its job.

Gadgets also help sell luxury cars and the Continental Supersports has them in droves, of which the most notable is a neck warmer for the stubborn few that want to drive the convertible with the top down in during winter season.

Those salivating to get their hands on this embodiment of grand touring perfection will have to wait till June later this year to get one.
