Street Racers Convicted In Kano State

Street racing as much exhilarating and exciting as it is, is a crime in most parts of world including Nigeria and 52 people recently convicted in Kano state for partaking in street racing now understand that.
According to Premium Times, police authorities arrested them during the New Year celebrations after they converged to race along Zoo road in Kano, and they were charged to court where they pleaded guilty. All suspects were each handed six months imprisonment or a fine of ₦10,000 by the presiding judge.
The police spokesperson also added that two of the cars used for the attempted race were confiscated and taken to the police station.
Guess it is about time we had race tracks in Nigeria.
