There Is A Plot To Dig Up And Steal Enzo Ferrari's Body

According to Reuters, the Italian police have busted a gang plotting to dig up the body of Enzo Ferrari and use it for ransom money from the Ferrari family or possibly the company. Authorities in Nuoro, a city on the island of Sardinia, revealed in a press conference that they learned about the gang’s plan in advance during an investigation into arms and drug trafficking, which led to several arrests

Enzo Ferrari who was an Italian motor racing driver and founder of Ferrari automobile marque died in 1988 at the age of 90, and is buried in an above-ground family tomb in a cemetery in Modena, not far from the Ferrari factory in Maranello. 

Prior to the foiling of the plot, one of the gang members had already conducted prelimanry reconnaissance work at the gravesite and had they carried out the crime, the gang planned to hide the body in the Apennine Mountains until the ransom was paid. Fortunately, that won’t be happening now.
