Lagos Government Suspends VIO Operations In Lagos

A lot of Lagosians would be heaving a sigh of relief after the Executive Governor of Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode ordered the temporary suspension of the operations of the officers of the Federal Agency, Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO) from the Lagos state roads.

This order which kicks off with immediate effect, comes after the Lagos state Government had received numerous complaints from the public about the way and manner the officers of VIO treated Lagos motorists.

My question is what is actually their true function on Nigerian roads?
