From Bad Guy Car To Badass Police Car
Normally, Supercars used by Police departments in the U.S are delivered straight from the manufacturers but this menacing Chevrolet Corvette belonging to New Braunfels Police Department in Texas has a different origin.
According to the department’s Facebook page, the newly acquired cop car codenamed ‘Coptimus Prime,’was seized from a drug dealer during a raid back in 2011 and then modified with some serious modifications. Now here is the cherry on the cake, the original owner had fitted the corvette with racing modifications that gives it a 1005 horsepower at its disposal which surely makes it one of the fastest police cars in the world.
But like other super-cop cars around the world, this beast will not be unleashed in chasing down bad guys rather, it will be making appearances at schools and community events to encourage interaction between the public and the police and to show wanna-be Pablo Escobars what is likely to become of their cars in the future.
If Nigerian police could do this, I bet they would dumping their patrol vans in a week.
